2018 Resolutions into Reality

As I am preparing for New Year’s Eve, trying to confirm plans—texting friends about “nye” I can’t help but notice my auto correct changing “nye” to “bye.” Makes you think.  Bye is exactly right.  Bye to negative thoughts, bye to feeling that you aren’t enough, bye to putting yourself down, or wishing you looked a different …

Live Well with me

Hi!

I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself: my name is Lauren, and I would love for you to Live Well with me.  Living well embodies all aspects of life– mind, body and soul.  Through my 26 years of life, I have gone through trials and tribulations- but three things have kept true: Faith, Food, & Fitness.

FAITH. We are nothing without God.  We are nothing without our Lord.  Without Him, I am absolutely nothing.  With that being said- faith is everything.  Once I truly accepted God as #1, my life became beautiful.  Now, its not all rainbows and butterflies- I get sad, lonely, annoyed, frustrated, etc.  but I can better see the beauty in the dark.  When I began to focus my life on His Will, instead of my own- the right doors opened, and my paths straightened.

FOOD. From a young age, I found a passion for food- not only eating it, but the nutrition aspect + how it can help or hurt your body.  So much of life revolves around food: social gatherings, parties, etc. we need food to live- but it’s choosing the right foods that help your body function the way its suppose to that can be hard. As a Registered Dietitian, I want to provide you the right information to be able to make better decisions on what you’re eating.

FITNESS. Working out has always been an outlet for me, from dancing to lifting weights, having a break from reality to just “do” has been another big aspect of my life.  It’s not always about getting to the gym or to the track- staying active // fit can start at home. In fact, sometimes getting to the gym is the hardest part.  I am not a personal trainer, but I can help guide you in the right direction to include small things throughout the day that involve movement.

I chose to start this blog, to get everything out of my head and into the mind of YOU!90b1db312990c2742bfb1ce783f32c7c
